We have 2 parks available, the A1 Touring Park, ideally placed just off the A1 near Pontefract. A1 Touring Park is set in 2 acres of green parkland, providing a quiet and convenient place to break up a long journey overnight or an ideal place to spend a couple of days while you explore the local sights.

Our sister touring park Helsby Caravan Park, based Frodsham, Cheshire, is an ideal for overnight stay for campers and caravanners looking to break up their journey either into or out of Wales, heading up the M56. Helsby Caravan Park is less than one mile to the north and runs both North and South, linking up with the M53, the M6 and M60 motorways near Manchester.
Our dog friendly sites means we have plenty of walking routes to take your furry friends out and about !

Stay 2 nights as near grandchildren they enjoyed the stay. Very happy with site everyone friendly and down to earth. If you moan about the noise well its called A1 for reason but you don't notice it after a while. Security great Thank you Gilbert. Will stay regularly

We stayed at A1 touring park for 3 nights. The toilets are very clean. I don't usually use the showers as we have a motorhome but they are nice and big so i did, very nice. Bbq area with seating too. Hard standing and grass all flat. Very secure with coded gate. After 10 minutes I didn't notice the road noise and when I went to bed the noise was a gentle hum that made me sleep like a log!!! The staff are very friendly and helpful. Services shop a very short walk for essential items. There is a shuttle bus that runs to pontefract so great for market day. We travel a lot so will be using this little gem every time we pass. Thanks A1 touring.

Stayed here for 3 nights this week. My wife and I loved the site. We had the place to ourselves, and the local park home residents were very friendly towards us. The site is very secure with the gated access. The facilities are quite basic, but they are very clean. Yes, you can hear the A1, but it is just a background noise of traffic, which didn’t bother us at all, and we could barely hear it in the caravan. Will definitely use this site again. Dog-friendliness: Our two dogs had a great time running around on the grass Picnic area: The are fixed tables and benches, if you need a place to eat.

Having read the other reviews on this place we were not sure about staying here but on arrival I was pleasantly surprised,it has a nice grass area small bbq and the showers and loos ain't that bad at all. We would stay here again as it's good as a half way post on your journey. Yes it is a bit noisy but if you don't want noise then don't book a site right next to the A1 ! Restrooms: Loo and shower are not perfect but they are better than ok. Dog-friendliness: Dogs accepted but would keep on a lead as close to the road. Picnic area: Small table and benches next to a small bbq area.
